Who is Jesus to you?

A lot of people in our world today know the name Jesus as a being that walked the streets of Galilee some long time ago; a good man, a lover of children and women (the weak), a man with a weird teaching of turning the other cheek, but do not really know him as the Lord God almighty, the redeemer and saviour of the world, the soon coming King. I was discussing with an acquaintance some time ago and he said "Jesus was a perfect master." But more than that, He was and is the God-man who came to show the way out of the chaos that our world is heading towards today. And you know what! He is the way, the truth and the life. Who is Jesus and what does He mean to you?

Saved

Saved! what does it mean to be saved? A look up on the word SAVED in the dictionary shows it means 'to be delivered from a thing' Saved from an accident, saved from some unpalatable event etc. But in the bible lexicon, it has a different kind of meaning though related to the other. Saved means, one has be delivered from the guilt and consequences of sin. for there is no man on earth who sins not. Jesus then as the messiah came into the world for the purposes of showing man the way out of the guilt and consequences of sin. But why does sin have consequences?
Life in general is filled with cause and effects, laws that operate in given situations. if you throw your keys up, it surely comes down. that is called the law of gravity. if you throw a stone into the sea, it will sink, if you have intercourse with a fertile person, pregnancy results. Sin itself is a law. "The soul that sins, it shall die", the wages of sin is death" It follows that anyone who sins is in danger of death or any other consequences of sin. Jesus fixes the sin problem. if you let him do it for you, you are referred to as 'saved' Do you want to be saved?
